Software Updating Via PC
1. Start the computer.
2. Select PROGRAM
3. Select ACCESSORIES
4. Select COMMUNICATIONS
5. Select HYPER TERMINAL
How to in HYPER TERMINAL
1. Click on HYPERTERMINAL.EXE
2. Choose a name (SAMSUNG 9500), and choose an icon, click on OK
3. Select direct to COM1, click on OK
ON PORT SETTING
1. Bits per second : 115200
2. Data Bit : 8
3. Parity : NONE
4. Stop Bit : 1
5. Flow Control : NONE klick on OK
HOWTO CHOOSE BINARY FILE
1. Select TRANSFER
2. Select SEND FILE
3. BROWSE <- select the binary file you wnat to load> (9500mc.bin)
4. Select 1KXmodem as Protocol
OBS! DON´T PUSH THE SEND BUTTON YET, WE WILL DO THAT LATER!
When you have done the above, connect your computer and DSR 9500 with a RS-232 cable.
Then you do like this:
1. Unplug your receiver from the "mains?", you can use the power switch on the back of the receiver. On the receivers frontpanel press the right arrow, and hold it, put the switch on the back of the receiver to on.
2. When you see the following apear (not earlier) release your finger from the right arrow button:
On your TV:set you see (if it is connected, not necessary):
"SAMSUNG LOADER (VER 1.0) ..................................."
On the receivers frontpanel you see "3-01"
On your PC,
it say´s "............. .................................. Loading"
If all of this is correct push the SEND button in HYPER TERMINAL
Then just relax until the loading is finished!
The next time you want to load a software, just click on the icon you just created,
all the selection you just made are saved, just choose file, put the receiver in "datamode"
and press send.
to receive from the receiver to pc
use hyperterminal same way as uploading software
than choose receive instead of send
instead of booting the box and hold right arrow key
u hold the left arrow key
